Different Perspectives

The above image captures two women glancing at each other and immediately judging one another based on the culture of attire allegedly influenced by men.  The captions above translate into the following:

Blonde: "Everything covered except her eyes. How cruel is that culture dominated by men."
Woman under veil: "Nothing covered except her eyes. How cruel is that culture dominated by men."

This is an interesting and astonishingly accurate perspective on the differences between Western and Eastern culture, and how the women in these regions adorn their body. Western culture is dominated by sex appeal and Eastern culture will avoid it at all costs; mostly at the cost of the women's freedom of expression.

Women in the United States have for many years adapted a frame of thinking that it is okay to flaunt their developed curvatures and protruding body parts in efforts to gain a sense of "sexy" all the while capturing men's undivided attention. It is a tradition that has been embedded in our culture since the era of the first two- piece bathing suit, which had a main purpose of showing off the [assets] of young women who wore it. Never mind the fact that it was designed by a male designer. I'm sure that was a mere coincidence, right?

On the contrary, women in the Middle East are forbidden to tempt men with the reflection light rays have on their shiny hair- let alone the part of anatomy that would make most men quiver in their seat. These woman are forced to wear a veil and cover themselves completely to avoid any inappropriate encounters caused by their sex appeal. It is a form of oppression by the government. Some countries are less strict than others, but this foreign concept is still prevalent even at progressive times like these. Nonetheless, it causes one to pay attention to the influence men have on the way women dress. They are the underlying motivation for dress code in both cultures.
